Shri Mahendra Babhulkar

 Shri Mahendra Babhulkar S/O Shri Bhaurao Babhulkar was born in Amravati Maharashtra on 9th April 1972. He had his primary and secondary education at Ramakrishna Krida Vidyalaya HVPM Amravati and passed secondary examination in 1990.  Shri Babhulkar did his graduation in 1995 & Post Graduation 1999 from Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University, Amravati. He started gymnastics at the age of 12 years at Amravati under his coach late Ashok Walia in 1984 and later had gymnastics training under different coaches such as Shri Deepak Shirke, Shri PV Darvankar and Shri Chandra Shekhar at different levels. He was a national gymnast and participated in National Gymnastics Championships and All India Inter University Gymnastics Championships from 1990 to 1995.

Shri Babhulkar passed the two years Regular Diploma Course in gymnastics in 1995-97 from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports Patiala India. He joined Directorate of Sports & Youth Services Government of Maharashtra as a Gymnastics Coach in 1998 and presently posted at District Sports Office, Thane.  

He was the coach of Indian Women Gymnastics Team at 2nd South Central Asian Gymnastics Championship at Allahabad in 2005, Coach of Indian women Team at 3rd Senior Asian Artistic & Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship at Surat India in 2006 and also Coach of 15th Junior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championship held at Jakarta, Indonesia in 2018. He also attended AGU Common Training Camp for GFA Coaches Held at Kathmandu, Nepal in 2017.  Shri Babhulkar was honoured with the Thane District Best Coach Award in 2011. He was married in 2000 and blessed with two daughters. He was the Competition Director in National School Games on two or three occasions which organized by School Games Federation of India. He has a dynamic capacity in administration and organized number of seminars and gymnastics symposiums at state levels in gymnastics in Maharashtra.

Shri Mahendra Babhulkar was the FIG International Judge under 12th cycle (2009-2012) and acted as judge in gymnastics in the XIX Commonwealth Games held at New Delhi in October 2010.

He joined Thane District in 2002 and started his coaching at Sarswati krida sankul,Thane.
